Patsy the Cat needs a home
Patsy is a curious, friendly, and feisty little girl who was found near death in a colony in Toronto. She has recovered miraculously from her surgery (hence the shaven belly) and now has lots of energy to play. Patsy loves to sleep in her crate or on the couch in the afternoon sun. She absolutely loves to be pet when everyone is up and moving and will most certainly follow you around the house. She can sometimes be easily over stimulated by petting and has, once or twice, let me know when she's had enough with a little nip (her body language is pretty clear though, so taking the time to learn her signs is essential). When you're hanging out on your computer or watching TV she'll either sit near you or come and sit on one of your thighs, perfectly aligning her body to fit. She doesn't love being picked up but will tolerate it for a short period of time. Patsy absolutely loves to eat, especially her wet food. She will typically only eat her dry food if people are home and hanging out with her. She really enjoys treats but doesn't like to eat out of your hand, so I usually make her chase them. Patsy enjoys catnip and playing with toys, she is great at entertaining herself and loves chasing her own tail. She loves to sit up in high places and will try to get into anything and everything she can think of. You may need to make sure your house plants are out of kitty-reach! Patsy isalso great at using the litter box; Patsy loves to scratch so a good scratching post/cat tower would be well-loved by her. Patsy would likely enjoy a home with two or more adults with varied schedules so there'd be someone that can hang out with her throughout the day (she is totally okay to be left on her own for extended periods, however). I think Patsy could work well with another cat as she is originally from a colony. I think she would do well in a home with older children who know how to handle a cat properly. |
